Description

The Eurocopter AS355F-2 TwinStar is a light twin-engine helicopter developed by the French aircraft manufacturer Aérospatiale (now part of Airbus Helicopters). The TwinStar is used for a variety of roles, including executive transport, law enforcement, search and rescue, and aerial photography.
The AS355F-2 is powered by two Turbomeca Arrius 2F turboshaft engines, each producing 591 shp. The helicopter has a maximum speed of 155 knots (178 mph) and a range of up to 400 nautical miles (460 mi). It is equipped with a four-axis autopilot and an advanced avionics suite. The TwinStar is also equipped with a Fenestron tail rotor, which helps to reduce noise and vibration levels.
The cockpit features dual controls, with the pilot's seat in the right-hand side and the co-pilot's seat in the left-hand side. The aircraft can accommodate up to five passengers in addition to the pilot and co-pilot.
The AS355F-2 has been in production since 1997 and is still in use today by a variety of operators around the world.
