It was the first production helicopter to feature a fully-enclosed cabin and was the first to be powered by a Lycoming HIO-360-F1AD engine. The 300C was popular due to its comfortable seating and improved safety features. It could reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour and had a range of about 300 miles.
