1978 Hughes 300C
Description
The Hughes 300C was a four-seat light helicopter produced by Hughes Helicopters from 1976 to 1985. It was the first production helicopter to feature a fully-enclosed cabin and was the first to be powered by a Lycoming HIO-360-F1AD engine. The 300C was popular due to its comfortable seating and improved safety features. It could reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour and had a range of about 300 miles. It was used for a variety of purposes, including flight instruction, aerial photography, utility transport, and patrol. It was eventually replaced by the Hughes 500 series.
