1966 Cessna 310K
Description
The Cessna 310K was a twin-engined light aircraft produced by Cessna between 1966 and 1974. It was a variant of the popular Cessna 310 model, and offered improved performance and greater payload capacity.
The 310K was powered by two Continental IO-470-L engines, each producing 260 horsepower. This gave the aircraft a maximum speed of 230 miles per hour and a range of 1,370 miles. It could carry up to five passengers and had a useful load of 1,500 pounds.
The 310K had a number of other improvements over earlier versions of the Cessna 310, including a redesigned nose that improved visibility and a new landing gear system. The aircraft also featured an improved interior, with more comfortable seating and a larger cabin area.
The 310K was a popular aircraft and over 1,200 were produced during its eight-year production run. It remains a popular choice for private pilots today, and is still a reliable and capable aircraft.
